Title: Field Sales Engineer
Pay Range: Open – Negotiable
JOB SUMMARY & DUTIES:
The Field Sales Engineer generates revenue by developing market potential through forecasting, lead generation, qualification, and closing sales.
Recommend new products and provide technical support to customers.
Responsible for achieving individual sales goals in the assigned region.
Travel within the region as necessary, approximately 50% of the time, to complete the scope of the job.
Develop a sales plan for the region and implement Sales and Marketing programs and activities to achieve the plan goals.
Develop sales leads through business relationships, lunch & learns, and investigation within the region.
Qualify those leads through the analysis of the potential product use and sales potential.
Establish specific account strategies for major sales opportunities.
Make presentations to end user customers, integrators, engineering firms and distributors detailing our products and how they relate to specific industries and applications.
Attend and represent DITEK at industry trade shows and events as needed.
Submit regular summaries to record pertinent information regarding customer needs, new applications, competition, general trends, etc.
Submit required sales reports to summarize accomplishments, information gained and to outline upcoming month’s activities.
Recommend new products by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent work experience is a must.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer facing pre-sales role, preferably in the electronics or security industry.
