Title: Quality Tech Coordinator

 JOB SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible for the development, review, and implementation of company policy, procedure, plans, and work instruction.

Interview, train, and provide guidance to business unit managers and their subordinates in order to gather the necessary information to develop the required QMS documentation.

Assess the compliance of QMS documentation with the ISO 9001:2000 International Standard, statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

Communicate with executive and management personnel, and general workforce.

Communicate with Regulatory Bodies, Customer Representatives and other agencies for compliance.

 

 

 

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Responsible for the development, review, and implementation of company policy, procedure, plans, and work instruction.
  • Interview, train, and provide guidance to business unit managers and their subordinates in order to gather the necessary information to develop the required QMS documentation.
  • Assess the compliance of QMS documentation with the ISO 9001:2000 International Standard, statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Responsible for facilitating Management Review events as required by the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
  • Set schedule, agenda, gather and develop metrics for presentation at Management Review events.
  • Coordinate top management schedules to ensure proper representation at Management Review events.
  • Communicate the results of management reviews to all company personnel and ensure that those communications are understood.
  • Responsible for issuing internal corrective action requests to all business units and personnel.
  • Responsible for evaluating corrective measures for implementation and effectiveness.
  • Evaluate requests for corrective action from all personnel, interpret internal audit results, consider management review output, and issue corrective action to business units and personnel accordingly.
  • Administer internal audit activities to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective measures.
  • Responsible for the scheduling, planning, execution, and documentation of internal audits.
  • Responsible for reporting the results of internal audits to top management during Management Review events.
  • Administer internal audit program in accordance with company procedure.
  • Report the results of internal audits to top management for review.
  • Responsible for communicating with executive and management personnel, and general workforce.
  • Communicates with Regulatory Bodies, Customer Representatives and other agencies for compliance with requirements.
  • Maintains a commitment to the company vision and the “spirit” of the organization.
  • Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.

 

 

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

 

Associates degree from an accredited junior/technical college; or high school diploma with 5-7 years’ experience in the shipbuilding and/or Quality field.

Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills.

Must have strong organizational and time management skills.

Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.

Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.

Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
