Title: Warranty Manager
Location: Mississippi

JOB SUMMARY:
Ensure the assessment, coordination and resolution of warranty issues, pertaining to post delivery equipment failures.
Work directly with engineers, production personnel, test & trials team members, quality assurance inspectors and owners to resolve deficiencies or equipment failures.
Implement the warranty instructions and report record procedures with owners.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers or sub-contractors to correct deficiencies or failures governed by the scope of the specifications and contract warranty clause.
Reports to Vice President of Programs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Interfaces with Engineers, Captains, Owners, and Suppliers, on any claimed discrepancy.
Monitor discrepancies and determine that the corrections to be made are in accordance with the specification, all regulatory bodies and manufacturer requirements.
Interface with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Yard Managers on discrepancies in an effort to prevent future reoccurrence.
Once a warranty action has been implemented:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures and accountabilities.
• Estimate cost to the company for the corrective action and minimize impacts to the owner.
• Develop and implement Scopes of Work for corrective action.
• Implement and open jobs, audit accounts receivable, invoice upon job completions.
• Travel to various locations in effort to assess the claim if necessary and assist owners in repair of discrepancies.
EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE:
Through knowledge of vessel construction, equipment installation and system operation.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others while maintaining an effective working relationships with customers, vendors, contractors and company personnel.
Possess computer skills having proficiency in Word, Excel, AutoCAD and maintaining data bases.
Applied marine engineering, business skills, technical knowledge and extensive experience in construction and systems operations. Working knowledge of all regulatory requirements or any equivalent combination of experience and training which results in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
